Most day sailing excursions typically run two hours and sail the aurrounding waters of Penobscot Bay. These sailing excursions emphasize a laidback, stress-free and leisurely way to experience the scenic beauty of Penobscot Bay and the Maine coast.

"A Morning in Maine" is a 55 foot coastal ketch and is one of the newest members of the windjammer fleet. She was built to be a traditional sailing vessel with modern conveniences and electronics. A Morning in Maine offers daily two-hour scenic and coastal sightseeing trips of Penobscot Bay out of Rockland Harbor from the Middle Pier at Rockland Harbor Park. The two-hour day sail typically shows lighthouses, magnificent coastal estates, surrounding islands, porpoises, seabirds, seals and wildlife. Captain Bob Pratt, a marine biologist and retired teacher, is eager to share his knowledge of the natural, historical, and cultural characteristics of the unique environment of Penobscot Bay.

Vacation is a time for fun and relaxation, a time to to reconnect with family and friends. It is a time for adventure! Captain Joe and Michael invite you to experience it all. Sail aboard their historic windjammer for a 2-hr sailing adventure.

Lazy Jack was built in 1947 by builder and designer Fred Whittier in the shipyard of Whittier and Lowe in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Her lines are taken from the traditions of the Fredonia fishing schooners of the 1800s.

Lazy Jack is a topsail schooner and when fully rigged can carry up to eight sails. A renowned charter boat in the 1950s, Lazy Jack sailed for 20 years from Ipswich Massachusetts to Man O'War Cay to Cuba. She carried various cargo for her master, which included passengers, arms, rum and cigars.

The Schooner Lazy Jack II is a gaff rigged schooner built in Hope, Maine and launched in September 2004 by Captain Sean O'Connor. Lazy Jack II is the only schooner sailing out of Camden that was built by her owner. Lazy Jack II sails four trips daily during the summer and is available for your own private charter from the Camden Public Landing in scenic Camden, Maine.

The total vessel length is 58 feet and with spacious decks and cabin tops to sit on, your trip on Penobscot Bay will be safe and comfortable. All day sails are two hours long. You will see lighthouses and depending on where we sail may also see magnificent coastal estates, surrounding islands, seals and porpoises, osprey and bald eagles as well as scenic coastal vistas. Lazy Jack II is meticulously maintained by Captain O'Connor and is inspected and certified annually by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry 21 passengers.

The Schooner Olad is a completely restored 1927 yacht, designed and built by the Crosby Boatyard in Osterville, Massachusetts. She is 57 feet overall and carries 1500 square feet of canvas. The Olad is United States Coast Guard inspected for 21 passengers, plus captain and crew. The Olad sails five times a day, seven days a week from Camden Harbor on two-hour scenic and coastal sightseeing trips of Penobscot Bay. On every two-hour day sail trip you will see a lighthouse, other traditional sailing vessels, visiting yachts, Maine's rocky coastline, oceanfront mansions, marine wildlife, and of course seagulls. In addition to shore birds, interesting sightings typically include seals, bald eagles, guillemots (a cousin to the puffin), and the occasional whale. We often get to observe a lobsterman hauling traps and once in a while we get to see a rich and famous person on his/her megayacht.

The Schooner Surprise is the oldest day sailing windjammer in Camden, Maine. Surprise is a 57 foot schooner originally designed in 1918 as a racing and cruising yacht. Surprise sails four times daily, seven days a week from the Camden Harbor Public Landing on two-hour scenic and coastal sightseeing cruises of Penobscot Bay. Experience Penobscot Bay the way it was meant to be - from the deck of a 92-year-old fisherman schooner which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Captain Jack and Barbara Moore are former teachers and appreciate the chance to share the history of Surprise with their passengers, point out the varied wildlife on Penobscot Bay and explain the lobster fishing industry that is so important to the local economy and the region's history.
