Boat Trip Information
The Schooner Heron offers three daysailing trips daily from Rockport Harbor including an island Sail with Lobster Roll Lunch, an educational Indian Island Lighthouse/Eco Tour, and a relaxing Gourmet Sunset Sail.
Island Sail w/ Lobster Roll Lunch
This three hour sailing adventure is the perfect cruise to see Penobscot Bay and enjoy the taste of fresh Maine Lobster. See the harbor seals basking on the ledges at Robinson's Rocks and simply relax as Heron takes the bay in her stride. On our favorite point of sail, Bonnie will serve a freshly prepared lobster roll lunch. Hot tea or coffee and cookies top off the perfect trip.
Indian Island Light / Eco Tour
On this trip, guests learn about the history of Rockport Harbor - the shipbuilding and the export of lime and ice. Guests will hear about the history of magical Indian Island Light and it's decline in the 1930's. Enjoy the educational narrative from glaciers forming the bay to the migration of the marine mammals and seabirds. With fair wind and tide, guests will spot the seals on Robinson's Rock, the birthplace of the famous Andre the seal.
Gourmet Sunset Sail
Enjoy good food, good company, great sailing and a beautiful sunset. Includes hors d'oeurves, BYO beer/wine. Let a sunset trip aboard Schooner Heron highlight your vacation. Check with the boat for departure times for the Sunset Sail after Labor Day, as it varies with the length of the day.
